Bar songs.
Surprising arrangements of familiar songs.
Showmanship with a focus on the audience.
Spontaneous humor.
Outstanding musicianship.
That's what John Corning brings to every performance.
Back in the days when he was touring with his band, John played some big venues, but now he prefers smaller settings where he can interact one-on-one with regular folks.
His songs range from Jimmy Buffett to Jerry Jeff Walker, Bruce Springsteen to Carlos Santana, the Beatles to the Grateful Dead. If the mood is right, he might amaze you with a lightning fast Leo Kottke guitar instrumental or an original comic song.
John lives year-round in sunny Sarasota, Florida, where he plays afternoons and evenings in local bars and restaurants. You won't find anyone quite like him on the Sarasota scene.
